Plot[]

A letter from Mavis’ younger brother reveals that Pauline is getting married to him. The marriage in question is really a contrived ploy set up by Pauline’s father former Head Clerk and his partner Viscount Boardman. In light of this news, the Crimson Vow group head to Pauline’s hometown to “crush” the wedding. Upon arriving in the town, the group interrogate three hired thugs by the Head Clerk, and later infiltrate the estate during the night. This inspires Pauline to stand up to Viscount Boardman and the Head Clerk. During this confrontation, Count Austien hears the allegations against the two men and thus holds a combat trial between the two and Pauline. The obvious winner of the trial is Pauline and once it was over, Count Austien voices his disdain over Mavis being a Hunter. So Mavis handily defeats the two soldiers her father orders to challenge her. Learning that she improved her sword play through Adele, he challenges her and loses. Conceding defeat Count Austien allows his daughter to be a Hunter. However, this doesn't stop him from chasing after his daughter as she's carried away her carriage with her friends.

  • 8:07 Mavis’s father’s line was translated as “Perform your duties, and don’t try anything uncalled for”. However, he said “yakume ga oeru made yokei na koto wa suru na“, which is more accurately, “until (your) role/duty is finished, don’t do anything uncalled for”. The difference is that he implies she can do something uncalled for once her role/duty is finished. [1]
  • 12:48Mile announcing “This is revenge” while hitting on the drum with her hair tied at the chin like a helmet fastener is a reference to Chuushingura. [1]
  • 13:06 “akaki chi ga ii“, Mile’s disguise of “Akaki Chikai / Crimson Vow“, was translated as “Crimson Fountains of Blood”. More accurately, it means “crimson blood is good”. [1]
  • 15:13 Pauline says “anatatachi tsumi wo kazoenasai“, roughly “count your(plural) sins”, which is a parody of the line “saa, omae(tachi) no tsumi wo kazoero!” from Kamen Rider W. Both the original line and the parody line mean the same thing but are said in a different style. [1]
  • 22:22 The last cast listing in the credits is “雑魚 / zako” which means “small fry”. The credit was for the 3 guys who tried to extort Mile, Mavis and Reina when they first arrived at Pauline’s hometown. [1]
  • Pretty Cure x Sailormoon: When Mile, Reina, and Mavis disguise themselves similar to the Tuxedo Mask and role-pose like the Precures.
